RSVP Reply Form
Your website template already includes a built-in RSVP form — simply customize it with your event details.
Editing the RSVP Form
- Click directly on the RSVP form section, then click "Edit" that appears in the pop-up top toolbar to customize.
- Select each field to edit the question text.
- Update response options as needed (Yes/No, meal choices, etc.).
- Colors of the form can also be changed in the top toolbar showing the circles that you can click on and choose new colors.
- Once your website is published, make sure to check your form with a test response!
You can easily customize questions such as:
• Will you be attending?
• Meal selection
• Welcome party attendance
• Dietary restrictions
• Song requests
• Additional notes from guests
How Responses Work
Once your website is published:
• Guests submit responses directly through your website
• All responses are collected securely within your Canva account
• No redirects to outside platforms
To view responses:
- Click on your website form in your Canva template
- Click Responses, which appears in the top pop-up toolbar
- Review your responses live on the lefy. Or, you can link to a new Canva sheet. Under the three dots, you also have the option to export to a spreadsheet (.csv file)!
Canva’s RSVP form requires publishing as a Canva website (not PDF share link), and responses are tied to the Canva account owner.
Other RSVP Options:
If you prefer not to use Canva's form, you can also create a google form & link this to your page!
Mobile Layout Tips
For best mobile formatting, keep text boxes approximately 480px wide or less when designing on Canva. Narrower text blocks translate more smoothly when “Resize for Mobile” is enabled and help maintain consistent spacing and font sizing. It is best to keep all your text boxes on the same page the same size for consistent mobile formatting (this will be set-up in our templates like this, so just to keep in mind if you add text boxes or new pages).
For text size, recommend that headers are 28-38pt. Body text is best around 16-20pt.
As you edit, keep checking the mobile version within the Canva viewer with "resize in mobile" marked off to include.
Linking Your Registry
Creating Links/Buttons
- Select the text, button, or image you are hoping to link.
- Click the Link icon (chainlink), which might be hidden under the three dots once you click on the element.
- Choose:
• Page within website
• External URL
• Email address
All of the pages at the bottom of your template have a name, and you can rename or add names if you add pages -- this makes the flow of linking them more seamless.
How to Add Your Own Photos
- Click Uploads in Canva (on your computer, this will be on the left side menu).
- Upload your images by clicking on upload files.
- Drag and drop your uploaded images into photo frames.
Adding/Deleting Pages on your Website
Sections are individual content blocks within a single scrolling page. Sections stack vertically and guests scroll down to view them.
Pages are separate screens within your website that guests navigate to using buttons or menu links.
To Add a Page:
- Make sure page thumbnails are showing (the bottom left "Pages" button toggles this on/off)
- You will see all your website pages across the bottom, and clicking to the right of the last page is an add page button.
- Make sure this new page you added is "linked" somewhere on your home page or other pages, so that it is findable when guests view your website!
To Delete a Page:
- In the page thumbnails on the bottom, click the three dots
- Select Delete
To Rearrange Pages:
- You can drag around the order of your pages at the bottom when you are in the page thumbnail view.
Adding a Website Countdown
Step 1: Create Your Countdown
- Visit the free countdown site, Invitarium.
- Sign-up for a free account.
- Once you are on their homepage, in the asset section, click "+Add New" then "Countdown"
- Enter your wedding date.
- For font, I recommend "Cardo Regular" as it doesn't reformat the sizing of the timer for different numbers, the numbers all remain the same size as the time ticks.
- Customize colors as desired. If you like, I usually pick a color that is a slightly lighter than the website's text color so that the timer does not feel overwhelming on the page.
- Copy your public share link at the top!
Step 2: Embed in Canva
- Open your Canva website design.
- Click Apps (left sidebar).
- Search Embed, and click on the first result that is a blue logo with a chain link.
- Paste your countdown link.
- Click Add to site.
- Resize and move your timer into place!
Live countdown timers are powered by a free third-party service (Invitarium). studioACK does not host or control external countdown providers.
How to Link a Location (Google Maps)
- Open Google Maps.
- Search your venue (or accommodation location you are linking).
- Click Share → Copy link.
- In Canva, select your button or text.
- Paste the link using the Link icon.
Guests can tap the link for directions instantly!
Canva Editing Tips
• Use consistent spacing between sections
• Stick to 2–3 fonts for a polished look
• Use the built-in preview tool to view desktop/mobile views while you are editing and before publishing.
• Use alignment guides for clean layout. Make sure your text boxes are all centered together.
• Duplicate sections before making major edits, so you can easily revert if needed
Sharing Your Website
Once published, copy your live link and share via:
• Text message
• Email
• Save the dates
• Printed invitations
• QR codes
• Social media
Tip: Always test your live link before sending to guests. Congratulations on creating your very own website!!
