Elegant Magnolia Plantation & Gardens Wedding in Charleston, South Carolina

We recently had the honor of designing for a breathtaking fall wedding at the iconic Magnolia Plantation & Gardens in Charleston. The lush, scenic venue was the perfect setting for A&M’s vision: an elegant and timeless celebration with subtle, earthy touches of greens and neutrals. Bringing this theme to life across their wedding details was a pleasure, and creating a cohesive brand for A&M was central to studioACK's design approach.

Everything came together with a lovely team of wedding professionals:

With wedding planning from Classic Planning & Design Co., they set the stage with a beautiful ceremony seating arrangement on the water, a cocktail hour bar set-up under the oak trees, reception dinner seating both indoors and outdoors of the Carriage House, and a tented reception dance area.  Katherine & Tyler beautifully captured every moment of their day through photo and video coverage.  Catering and bar service by Rosemary and Rye Catering served up a lovely buffet style dinner featuring their very own pasta station! Lighting & draping by Lit Charleston featured some stunning chandeliers above the dance floor. Music was provided by Lowcountry Pianist and the party was DJ'd by Bunn DJ Company.  Eventworks set up a beautiful tent and lounge furniture was sourced from Snyder Events. Desserts were served up by Gala Desserts. Table settings and other rentals were provided by Curated Events Charleston. Florals all around were designed by Coastal Creations Floral. The wedding party looked stunning with hair & make-up by Bridal Beauty Authority.

Invitations That Set the Tone

For this event, we wanted the invitations to reflect the serene, natural charm of Magnolia Plantation, while also embodying A&M's sophisticated taste. Using our studioACK designs, we crafted invitations with a classic, timeless style that used a gentle color palette of greens and neutrals. Clean, modern typography and subtle botanical accents completed the look, capturing both the couple’s personality and the aesthetic of their Charleston wedding.

Carrying the Brand Through Day-Of Details

Something that makes a wedding truly memorable is the way all the details come together, which is why we extended A&M’s invitation design into their day-of stationery and signage. This approach allowed us to create a seamless, branded experience that connected their day to the very first impression their guests received of the event in the mail.

Here are some of the special pieces we designed for their big day:

• Menus: Created on cotton handmade paper and elegantly tying into the invitation design with matching typography and floral accents
• Bar Display: A frameless bar menu designed in the same cohesive style, added sophistication to the cocktail hour
• Table Numbers: We chose to do something unique here, oval shaped! Layering in die-cut numbers, ovals, and their background pattern for an unexpected unique detail for each table
• Linen Seating Chart: By creating a fabric seating chart, it was not only a functional guide but also an eye-catching decor piece, complementing the couple’s aesthetic with neutral tones and organic textures. Set-up on a light oak easel with ribbon adorning the sides.

A Cohesive Experience for a Beautiful Celebration

Creating a cohesive stationery and signage theme for A&M’s wedding brought a sense of purpose and style to their day that guests could appreciate at every turn. By carrying the invitation design through to their menus, bar signage, and seating chart, we were able to reflect the natural beauty of Magnolia Plantation and the timeless love that A&M share.
